The “Journey to Sankalp Africa” is February 1 through February 14, 2014. I will travel to Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa and finally Kenya to attend the Sankalp Forum, the largest social enterprise focused platform in the world. The Geeks Gone Global trip was commissioned by Gray Matters Capital, one of the world’s largest social impact investors, to stimulate and strengthen ties in the social entrepreneurship and innovation space.
I am so honored to be asked to take this excursion. I think it is extremely powerful that I’ll be traveling with other women entrepreneurs who are interested in stimulating change and who have a global vision. Technology, entrepreneurship and social change are things I’m passionate about so I look forward to learning and growing as I push the needle in these emerging economies. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. In order for me to partake in this endeavor, I have been asked to crowdfund my excursion. Your donation will allow me to globalize BrightGirl Media while impacting global tech entrepreneurship. I only have 24 days to reach my goal!
